KINGSTON, N.Y. – Sailors learn teamwork, sailing skills, self-reliance, self-confidence, environmental awareness, maritime history and more at the Sailing School at the Hudson River Maritime Museum, the only US Sailing Certified Sailing School on the Hudson.
Our Youth Sailing Program sets sail on July 8, 2019 and runs through August 16. Spots are filling fast in our six week program. Sign your son or daughter up for one week and get a second week (or any number of subsequent weeks) at a 15% discount. Prices go up on June 1, 2019.
Students ages nine through eighteen learn in one-week, full-day programs aboard a variety of sailboats taught by US Sailing-certified instructors, with instruction individualized to serve the needs of a wide range of learners. Our adult sailing classes include a two-hour introduction to sailing aboard the beautiful classic Catboat Tidbit, custom sailing lessons designed to suit your needs, an in-depth, twenty-one hour US Sailing Basic Keelboat class leading to US Sailing Basic Keelboat certification, Racing Sundays classes where students learn sailboat racing skills and compete against other boats in the Kingston Sailing Club, Basic Keelboat II classes to build skills further, and more. US Sailing governs the sport of sailing in the United States, prepares sailors for the Olympics, sets safety standards, and certifies students, instructors and schools who provide excellence in sailing education. The Sailing School at the Hudson River Maritime Museum is the only US Sailing Certified School in the Hudson Valley. This June, we are hosting a US Sailing Small Boat Level One Instructor Training at Hudson River Maritime Museum on June 27 - June 30, 2019.
