EASING OF NYS BOAT CLUB RESTRICTIONS
Dear HRBYCA members,
A new set of NYS guidelines was issued yesterday at 5pm that now allow for boat clubs to operate in a modified condition. Please respect the recommended 6ft social distance along with sanitizing common areas. The Covid-19 virus is still a serious threat and the HRBYCA B.O.D. recommends to our members to wear a mask at all times.
Please read the new update;
Marinas, boatyards, and recreational marine manufacturers, for ongoing marina operations and boat repair/maintenance, where such facilities adhere to strict social distancing and sanitization protocols. Use of such sites for the purposes of personal use or operation of boats or other watercraft is permissible, provided that no establishment offer chartered watercraft services or rentals. Restaurant activity at such sites are limited to take-out or delivery only.
The B.O.D. welcomes these new changes and feel the 2020 boating season is not totally lost. There is plenty of time to commission your boat and return to the river. Hopefully this summer we can all meet without precautions at Shattemuc Yacht Club for our BBQ rendezvous.
The 2020 journals will be distributed next week and we ask you to support the small businesses that took an ad. They are all in need of our business; diving services, propeller services, insurance, canvas, engine sales and service and chandlery.
Wishing you all a safe 2020 boating season.
Regards,
Jerry Silverman/ HRBYCA President
