NEW! HUDSON RIVER HAPPENINGS & INTERCLUB INFORMATION EXCHANGE

Posted on December 14, 2020April 29, 2021 by admin

Compiled by the HRBYCA

Dec 12  2020

INTRODUCTION

Welcome to this the first “trial” of a monthly communication from the HRBYCA which we’ve named

“Hudson River Happenings & Interclub Information Exchange”   because it serves several  purposes:

1: To pass on to the clubs information compiled from various sources about relevant events “happening” on the river (Dutch boat flotilla a few years ago, transit of the USS Slater down from Albany last year)

2: A mechanism for individual clubs to “pass along” information about their own activities that they think other clubs might like to know about  (River Day, Fundraisers, Sailing regatta’s needing crew, etc)

3: A mechanism for club members who want to sell their boats to have the information “posted “ on all the other club’s “bulletin boards” and/or in their newsletter as well as being on the HRBYCA website

Clubs can send their event notice in the form of an electronic copy of their press release/and/or “flyer” to: sec@hrbyca.org  Club members wishing to sell their boats can send us the graphic notice they posted at their club and/or put in their club newsletter. More information will be coming

Many thanks to all our member clubs who have responded to my request to verify that the email address you sent us is indeed “working”.

The “Interclub Information Exchange” is exactly that - it is designed to allow clubs to share mutually beneficial information with each other.

For example- the “VIRTUAL BULLETIN BOARD”

This is the time of the year when folks start thinking about perhaps buying a boat or know someone who is looking.  If you see a listing on your club bulletin board feel free take a snapshot of it and send it to me   sec@hrbyca.org (please get the sellers permission to distribute his “for sale flyer” to you club secretaries as well as being put in an upcoming  “boat for sale” section on our website

Any issues or comments please send to me sec@hrbyca.org
Regards and Happy Holidays
